My career in mental healthcare started in 2013, after I worked “the Minnesota Model’’ on my own recovery.
This motivated my interest and inspired me to do different courses and educations.
Some before my first work experience, but most of them while I was on the Job:

YesWeCan Youth Clinics (age 13 to 23):

• Elsden EACI addiction Counseling 1

• Elsden EACI addiction Counseling 2

• Elsden Course: how to deal with aggression in a clinical setting.

Choices BV (Now “Incitare SafeHouse”, before Clinic for adults with mental health problems):

• Working with your experience. (NL: Stichting VDM cursus herstellen doe je zelf)

• Counselling from experience for professionals, within government mental healthcare system.

  (NL: Ervaringsdeskundigheid bij professionals in de GGZ. 2013-2014 Windesheim)

• Mindfullness (Teacher Ellen Hendrickx)

Mental health care work experience

Yes We Can Youth Clinics. Treats over 700 adolescents and young adults a year. (4 years)

(Age 13 to 24) 2 Years in the National Clinic and 2 years in the International Clinic.

• One on one sessions.

• Parent & Family sessions

• Recovery Coaching and aftercare program

• Personalized interventions

Choices 12 step Minnesota clinic (3 years):

• Being part of a multidisciplinary team

• Group Coach (8 adults) to guide them through the evenings, mornings and weekends.

• Listening, conflict mediation, coach them where necessary and guiding meditation practices.
